Reading has had a profound effect in my life. Some of the books had a life changing impact on me.

I remember I never used to read anything outside school syllabus books. I had a received a small booklet on winning a quiz contest.

The book narrated some of the key incidents from the life of Swami Vivekanand. His vision and inhuman capability to concentrate inspired me to become a better version of myself. I started meditating more and it helped me increase my focus and gave me a sense of purpose.

That small booklet has turned my life around. It transformed me entirely into a more focused and confident person. I started believing in abilities much more than before.

Reading is like talking to your soul. Great personalities who have walked this planet have shared their wisdom through books. It is up to us to devour that knowledge which other people worked hard to acquire. How cool is that ! We just need to read in order to gain the knowledge without spending the time they have already spent.

Many people stop reading once they graduate out of college. One should continue the habit of reading in their quest continuously become a better version of yourself.
